Watch the official music video for “Under the Bridge” by Red Hot Chili Peppers, from their landmark 1991 album Blood Sugar Sex Magik. One of the band’s most iconic songs, “Under the Bridge” became a defining alternative rock ballad of the 1990s, exploring themes of loneliness, addiction, isolation, and the complicated relationship between Anthony Kiedis and his hometown of Los Angeles. Featuring Anthony Kiedis on vocals, John Frusciante on guitar, Flea on bass, and Chad Smith on drums, the song pairs Frusciante’s distinctive melodic guitar work with some of Kiedis’ most personal lyrics. The official music video, directed by Gus Van Sant, features striking imagery of Los Angeles, including Kiedis walking through the city and performing against colorful, surreal backdrops that reflect the song’s emotional connection to the City of Angels. 🔔 Subscribe to Red Hot Chili Peppers: https://youtube.com/c/RedHotChiliPeppers/?sub_confirmation=1 Listen to Blood Sugar Sex Magik: https://smarturl.it/getrhcpbloodssmagik Released as a single in 1992, “Under the Bridge” reached No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming one of Red Hot Chili Peppers’ biggest mainstream hits.
