Flawless album. The hate it gets makes me sad becuase Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino is just as good as the Monkeys' older albums. Really, I dig Favourite Worst Nightmare, Humbug, you name it. But just because the typical indie rock tones of the old albums are more understated in Tranquilty Base doesn't mean it's any lesser of an album. I see it as an evolution of Arctic Monkeys' style rather than any sort of decline. The Monkeys were at their best here, just as they were in the early 2010s. Just because it's different doesn't mean it's worse.
A masterpiece take a second hear.

I practically eat sleep and breath this album. there is not one day that passes where I do not listen to at least one song from this album. I used to hate it but I really just needed to give it a chance. It is one of if not the best album that the Arctic Monkeys have ever made. also bald Alex still freaks me out a bit tbh...

this came out in 2018, it is now 2023 and this album has only gotten better and better. its my favorite album of all time. Star treatment is my favorite of the 11 but every track has its own personality, its own vibe, its own qwerk and i love it. this album has single handily changed the way i view and listen to music. its a lounge pop, psychedelic pop masterpice and i cannot understand why people think "every song sounds the same" or that the drums are "basically non existent" like what bro? i know this album divided the fan base but those people are lames. TBHC and The Car are fantastic albums and people dont get that you arent the same person you were a moment ago, music should evolve, people should evolve , artists should evolve. and this... this is a perfect example of that. 11/10

I think what’s cool about Arctic Monkeys is they’re always evolving, each of their albums has a theming to it. This one is especially evident. I really love this album, its a very retro space film themed to me, I think it’s a fun. Music and production are beautifully done.

Alex and the band tried something new, and did an amazing job! I understand how people wanted more of the rock style though this album is fine you just need to change your point of view. I cant wait for the next album! This album should not stop arctic monkey fans from loving there songs! I know not many people like Alex's voice in this album but it fits with the style he was trying to get. This album was wonderfully executed.

This album is awful. I love the comments that get mad at people disappointed by this album by saying “aren’t they allowed to evolve?” Sure they are. And I’m allowed to evolve away from a band that has apparently transformed into one unrecognizable from the sound that truly made them outstanding.
