In All Honesty 7 is A Solid 7!

So happy to hear new Nelly Furtado music, and this album was worth the wait.
For me the album gets good starting with my favorite "Honesty". Songs 5 - 14 make up for the the first 4 songs (emblematic of the yucky subpar clubby tracks on the airwaves in today's era of music).
She’s going to wow you

“7” is superb! Nelly manages to give us a solid album sounding fresh with todays style yet not comprising who she is.

Nelly Furtado’s new album, *7*, marks her return after a long hiatus, but for me, it didn’t quite deliver the hit-packed experience I was hoping for. The standout track, “Corazon,” is the one song I truly enjoyed and purchased. Its rhythm and energy felt reminiscent of what made Nelly’s earlier music so captivating. However, I couldn’t help but wish she had included a collaboration or two with Timbaland, without Justin Timberlake this time, as their past work together resulted in undeniable magic, especially on *Loose*. While *Loose* was an album I could listen to from start to finish, *7* feels a bit disjointed. I had high expectations, particularly after such a long break, and thought there would be more hits throughout the project. That said, I’m glad Nelly has taken control of her music career by going independent and releasing *7* on her own label, which is a major accomplishment in itself. Hopefully, her next project will strike a better balance and offer the consistency I loved in her earlier albums. Here’s to hoping the 8th album will resonate more strongly.

Nelly Furtado is a unique artist who has always made music that's just a hair off of a "mainstream" sound but managed to break through to mainstream success. I believe it's the authenticity that people connect with and that's what she got for being herself.
While I'm not sure I believe this album is insanely cohesive, it is a showcase of someone who plays with sound in an interesting way. Can't wait for the deluxe version.
