Love to see him try new things

I'll admit It's not his greatest album, ASCEND and ILLENIUM were more polished and statement making, but I appreciate all the new endeavours in this album. It's great to see him doing more house and trance inspired music. Slave to the Rithim is my favorite here; it's chaotic, innovate and unexpected. One of his most memorable songs. Ur Alive and With Your Love are so beautiful as well, not just sonically but also lyrically.

I discovered Illenium in 2017 when he dropped Awake. He’s the one who got me sucked in heavy to the melodic bass world of EDM. Usually I always buy the entire album. Every song is fire. But this year he switched up. And for me and my ears not in a good way. There’s only a few songs on this album I rock with sadly. I’m not into techno or trance or whatever half the stuff that this is. Come on man get back to melodic bass and or stick with rock edm that wasn’t bad. What most fans loved was 2017 vibes. Give us Free Fall or Lonely type bangers again
Amazing

While I don’t hate this album so far, it does sound closer to his older albums. Not necessarily a bad thing, just a little unexpected. I loved the momentum illenium had continued to maintain through each and every album. They felt more mature, like each ensuing album built off of each other. This one seems to deviate a little from that momentum. Again, I’m not sure it’s a bad thing. But it caught me off guard.
