As a long time Ryche fan all the way back to the days of growing up in Bellevue, Wa. , I can't help but be a bit disappointed. In previewing their soon to be released album there are some worthy tracks. I like Retail Therapy, At the Edge.....and Broken is an modern day "Silent Lucidity". What this band does best is full throttle "screaming in digital". Instead of sticking to what made them one of the more unique 'metal' bands and widely popular to fans of that sound, they experiment with this stuff that does not seem to appeal to many. It has been quite a few years since this band has hit the mark. Wish the best for them and I will purchase some tracks from Chaos - but will continue to hope that they will cut loose and revistit that rocking Ryche sound of their previous "empire".
Terrible...

Not that this band has been on a red hot streak lately, but come on now! This track is definitely nowhere close to the calibre of music this once great band has made in the past. It's not even metal, just pop sounding trash. Way to ruin a legacy by looking for another paycheck with a bad record that will no doubt be followed by a tour, just to cash in on their long term fans.
Not me though!
At least we'll always have Mindcrime and Empire

When Megadeth released United Abominations and Endgame through Roadrunner, it sounded like Dave Mustaine had awakened from a 15 year coma. Those two albums feature the best material he has done since Rust In Peace.
Unfortunately, Queensryche bring no new energy with them to Roadrunner. The new album is the same tired thing that they have been rolling out since Promised Land. Half of that album was good and the other half was not.
Any time Kelly Gray has anything to do with Queensryche (remember Q2K?) you can be guaranteed an underwhelming listening experience. I would recommend picking up the new Symphony X, Iconoclast or get yourself a real Queensryche album like Operation: Mindcrime or Empire.
Terrible!

This just sounds like a Geoff Tate solo record. I'm so tired of hearing them hype their new albums in the press. Everytime it's the same thing, "a return to form."
This time out they said the new album is a mix of Rage and Empire. NONSENSE!!! They've disappointed me time and time again with those ridiculous statements.
This song stinks! I've heard clips from the entire album and they all stink, NO crunchy distorted guitars on this one boys and girls. All the guitar playing is almost clean.
I've bought every album on the day of it's release going back to Rage, and ever since Promised Land I've been hoping for at least a couple of good tunes and have been disappointed time and time again. Not this time. Save your money and go check out Nevermore. I think most fans of Mindcrime will love Dreaming Neon Black. I do!
I'm diggin this...

..just wow. Real funny iTunes, please remove this imposter & put the real new Queensryche song up, jokes over, ha ha. Wilton, Jackson, & Rockenfeld must be p.o.'d playing this, or they've conceded defeat. Paycheck's a paycheck i suppose. Bring back DeGarmo for a farewell album & tour, then hang it up!
