This guy makes real music. His albums are solid and this may be one of his best efforts to date. I bought this album on a whim because I enjoyed his song “Love Don’t Love Me” that appeared on a soundtrack. Now I’m going through his catalog and I haven’t been disappointed yet. Contemporary R&B/soul music with a throwback vibe.

Eric just makes music that hand made way. Everyone I love: Al Green, Marvin, Tower of Power, Earth Wind & Fire— he’s absorbed all this and makes it his own. Plus he’s got the “Oakland Bay” mentioned on the album…what’s not to love?! Keep on going Eric!
