really pleased to see Kosha’s evolution as an artist…his hustle is unmatched and this album highlights both his work ethic and talent. The production is a great balance of left-field eccentricity and traditional hip hop, and the themes explored are easily relatable. My personal fave is “We Are Different” feat. Murs, but it’s a rad album top to bottom.
"Awkward in a....." awkward way.

Kosha's unorthodox flow follows with a bunch of rhymes that seem to be randomly spewed with not too much thought over beats that are well produced. Dillz topics are scattered all over the place. No matter what the song title is, most of what you can hear on this record are a bunch of freestyle punch lines with a catchy hook that is simple to the T. He gets credibility for teaming and signing with independent recording artist MURS (Living Legends & Felt) as the veterans two features on "Where My Homies Be" & "We Are Different" are more constructive than Kosha's whole record on his own. Having to mention your own name multiple times on 3 of the 10 records indicates the artist is putting more effort for people to remember his name rather than the music quality itself. After all the negatively, the album isn't entirely bad as Dillz keeps it happy and high spirited with songs like "Fwrends" and "What's Going On Upstairs" where the hook takes you into the chaos that is of Kosha's world. They are both catchy, memorable and marketable. Although by listening to the entire album, the NJ Native has packed his bags and neglected from his rapping roots and embraced the west coast vibe in songs like "Tupac Gone FIshin" where he acknowledges that his flow is 'so Jersey", but what it comes off, topic wise, is a LA love of flow to the fullest. It is a hit or miss album with a couple of catchy tunes while the other tracks have no depth from a song writing standpoint besides the feature of MURS. Love it or hate it...'Awkward In A Good Way' 's should've been referred to in four lesser words, 'awkward'.
Keep em coming Kosha!!!

Woah Kosha always comes correct and the fact that it's released on Murs' label is commendable. Overall great job.
