Simply the best music I have heard in a long time. The girls singing is pure, raw, unpolished emotion. Thank goodness their producer didn't mess it up with typical pop music scrubbing. You can hear the hitches that let the strong emotion within the songs come through. Amazing work all of it, can't wait for full album in Feb.

I really love the experimental sounds of this EP and I tend to have it in repeat. I love the use of different languages and the mixture of several music genres. I can't believe these sisters are only 19 years old. Their music content makes them seem wise beyond their years. I have seen their music described as doom soul or comtemporary soul and I agree. I am excited for the full length album.

A friend recommended the Oya EP as new music and I'm glad that I did. I love how Ibeyi blends downtempo, chill, and electronic music together that it sounds so hypnotic. I'm a new fan and can't wait to get my hands on new music from Ibeyi. KEEP UP THE AWESOME WORK IBEYI!!!
