      I have had a severe chronic illness since I was 17(it’s been 8 years now)… There’s no true diagnosis, no treatments, and no cure yet in sight(CFS/ME). Going from being an active happy high schooler to being home-ridden and either asleep or in pain, I was beginning to lose all hope and… well… wanted to give up. The first time I heard this song, his words just clicked in my mind. I won’t give up because of my nurse-caretaker-shoulder to cry on-best friend in the world who I’m proud to say is my mom. We now sing each other some of the lyrics when I’m especially ill and down, and it reminds both of us that the love for someone else can be strong enough to to be the sole reason to wake up every morning and go to sleep at night knowing that the world really isn’t ‘caving in’. Thank you from the bottom of my healing heart Jason. I now wear a necklace that says ‘I Won’t Give Up’ and I won’t, even if I’m never cured. Your words, the song’s meaning, your voice, the beauty of this video, everything… is perfect and worth more stars than iTunes will ever know. You have saved a life.

      Although Mraz's hair makes him look homeless, the fact that the song is so touching and that this video inspires hope, I think it is worth seeing. THew song's really slow, but sweet anyway.

      I can't believe people are complaining about the man's hair.. It's not a haricut. That's his hair, it's natural, and i'ts longger than usual. I am sure that is the most incredibly superficial thing anyone would comment on given Jason Mraz's gift of writing songs that touch the heart, and the beautifully filmed video.
