Respectable solo debut

The Canadian release of this album featured the wonderful single "Tale of the Tongue." Now would be a nice time to see it offered again (now that we have personal computers, iTunes, the internet, etc). "Final Solution" was probably the most promoted cut from this album, as it appeared as a single and was (I think) the only song to be made into a video. "The Light Pours Out of Me" is soooo typical of what we love about the Godfather of Goth, but ironically it was actually not one of Murphy's own songs. "Canvas Beauty" is my personal favorite by far, but those who liked his Dali's Car stuff will find something familiar in "Confessions," "Never Man," and, more especially, "Blue Heart."
Strong Transitional 80's Workpiece

Should the World Fail... is a Fairly eclectic body of work... Murphy expands upon his sound and style from Bauhaus, and side project, Dali's Car. Ushering in some of his future masterpiece works, "God Sends" is the strongest track off the set showing promise of what is to come on future albums.
Never Man preceeds the Dust albums exotic sway and storytelling by more than a decade, and Final Solution sounds familiar of Bauhaus extension.
Favorites: God Sends, Never Man, Final Solution, The Light Pours Out of Me, and Jemal

This is one of Peter Murphy's greatest compilations of his ingenious mix of alt. rock with a touch of early 80's punk remaining from the Bauhaus years, the fresh new age he began with Dali's Car and his ever-original, completely ''Peter" flavor. Buy it! There's nothing else out there like this stuff!
